Dua Lipa for Futures Forum Keynote

With just a few weeks to go before the inaugural edition of Futures Forum, we’re hugely excited to announce that our first-ever keynote interview will feature the double Grammy-winning superstar Dua Lipa.

The Futures Forum Keynote: Dugi & Dua Lipa will see Dua and her rock star father, Dukagjin Lipa, interviewed by IQ editor Gordon Masson about the pivotal role that live music has played in building Dua’s career, the demands of life on the road and their Sunny Hill Foundation in Kosovo.

Dua won the award for best new artist and best dance recording at the 2019 Grammy Awards on Sunday, having smashed Spotify streaming records and topped charts globally last year. She is only the third British female artist – after Adele and Amy Winehouse – to simultaneously take home two awards.

Dua and Dugi’s interview will be immediately followed by a drinks reception hosted by Live Nation Entertainment to celebrate International Women’s Day.

The keynote caps a day of panels, presentations and workshops, another highlight of which is legendary radio DJ Steve Lamacq in conversation with Mark Davyd (Music Venue Trust) in 30 Years in a Toilet: Enjoying grassroots venues the Lamacq way.

The Power Trio celebrates International Women’s Day with an inspirational speaker line-up: Live Nation’s EVP business affairs Selina Emeny, the operational lead for Kilimanjaro Live, Zac Fox, and the founder and president of Finland’s leading promoter, Fullsteam’s Rauha Kyyrö. ILMC’s James Drury will be on hand to steer the session – though audience participation is heartily recommended. This informal, intimate session is an opportunity to grill a trio of concert business figures at the top of their game.

Other confirmed speakers include: Karma Bertelsen (Kilimanjaro Live), Aino-Maria Paasivirta (Fullsteam Agency), Mike Jones (MJR Group), Mike Malak (Coda Agency), marketing consultant Emily Scoggins, Jenni Cochrane (AEI Group), Felix Canetty-Clarke (Sony/ATV), Tristan Hunt (AFEM), Fiona McGugan (MMF), Achal Dhillon (Killing Moon), Steven Hancock (MelodyVR), and Jules O’Riordan (Judge Jules).
